FIRS: New Leak Indicates Fowler was Rejected Despite Requesting for Reappointment

New evidence has confirmed that the immediate past Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Services, Babtunde Fowler was replaced intentionally by the cabal in government despite pleading for a reappointment, according to his rights.

Fowler’s Tenure ended on Monday. He was immediately replaced by President Buhari with a relatively unknown northerner, Mohammed Nami, which aroused suspicions that the cabal may be at work.

Crucible gathered through a leaked letter that Fowler was forced out and replaced despite his request for a reappointment. The opening lines of the leaked letter, purportedly written by Fowler to the Secretary to the government, Boss Mustapha, reads:

“I write to notify the Secretary to the Government of the Federation that my first tenure as the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Services(FIRS) ends today 9th of December, 2019.

“In view of the above, I will like to present myself for reappointment for a second term. This is consistent with the provisions of the FIRS Establishment Act of 2007 and would grant me the opportunity to consider and build on the achievements we have recorded in the last four years.”
